Bryan Cebulski I once saw Jack Harris perform at a small venue in the basement of a London pub and I've been a fan ever since. What I love about his music is that every song manages to recapture the intimate feeling of that first show. Just beautiful. Favorite track: Bells.

micklethwaite Jack’s lyrics immediately draw you into a moment or a feeling that you recognise from your own life. His guitar accompaniment always supports his words to ably create the requisite mood: light or dark, up or down. Jack’s voice is full of the soul that we need more of in this world. This album captures all of these things intimately and directly. No friend of cliche, Jack cannot help but be original.

about

Ben Walker did a great job producing these few songs. He wanted to make it intimate, pared down, live takes, no click, like I'm sitting in the room with you, a few beers at hand. I think he nailed it. Thanks for the great work, Ben! Extra points for the shimmering mandolin lines...

The brilliant, multi-talented Jess Morgan is one of my best friends. She did the artwork for this record, capturing the spirit of the thing perfectly. Beautiful work, Morg!

Hard to believe we recorded this two years ago. I was tired on recording day, you might well hear this in one or two places. Still, I like what we made. I hope you do, too.

One last thing. 'High Heels' is a response to a song called 'Mickey Finn', written by my old hero, mentor, friend, Eric Taylor. He passed away this year. We were what he called 'Skin Friends' for half my life, in which time he taught me more about writing than anyone, and more about humanity than most. I loved him very much.

One day I'll offer him something more substantial; for now, I dedicate this slim effort to Eric, with Big Love.
